Limestone Caves
Caving in limestone caves is a fun and exciting leisure activity but crawling through
holes certainly isn't everyones cup of tea!
But if you do like that sort of thing or just interested in trying it out then you will have to take safety proportions
first. Like a helmet with a fitted light on top. Once you are all kitted
out you can go limestone caving, but if you are new to it I would recommend you take
an instructor with you who knows the caves because getting lost several meters below ground would not be an enjoyable experience!
Caving in limestone caves can be like going through a maze and not knowing
what lurks behind the dark corners; it's thrilling and exciting and ideal
for anyone up for trying something new that's out of their comfort zone. It can also be a little scary and worrying when you are crawling
and look around to see only rock and no escape, so I wouldn't recommend
it for people with claustrophobia. But the best part of caving is when you
walk out of the caves with a feel of achievement of what you have just endured and felt.
